Mission Recording

Curtiss-Wright offers a variety of rugged mission recorder products with removable solid-state memory and replay and analysis software. With a long history of supplying recorders for the aerospace market, Curtiss-Wright provides a range of mission recorders, from ultra-compact models with defined inputs to larger capacity recorders that feature modular data acquisition capabilities. Curtiss-Wright’s mission recorders cater to most avionics buses (e.g. MIL-STD-1553, ARINC 429, CAN bus), offer multiple channels of video with modern high compression codecs and provide interfaces to a large array of analog and digital sensors.

Curtiss-Wright’s also supplies distributed mission recorders that feature multiple chassis and commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) modules, which provide highly customizable, scalable solutions. These recorders’ data acquisition units (DAUs) are compact and lightweight and built to stand up to extremely rugged environments. They are cockpit-mountable, quick access recorders, which provide immediate, easy access to data. They permit data acquisition nodes to be placed within close range of data sources in harsh operating environments, or in avionics bays.
